Saturday's Tattoo Duel between Chris Fuckin Jones and Chris Hatton had the topic Day of the Dead. For 6 hours they fought tooth and nail to produce the winning piece. With the judging over and the results gathered they waited with baited breath for the winner to be announced. Chris Hatton was crowned King of the first Tattoo Duel!
I was booked in with Kiley from Brightside Tattoo in Denmark for a rose on my wrist, the day seemed to drag as my hungar for a new tattoo was getting the better of me. But alas! After patiently wait until around 5oClock it was my turn. His tales of the Liverpool Hotel he stayed in made me chuckle and before I knew it my time was over.
With the day turning into night it was time for me to exit the show and make my way back home with my new tattoo.
Seeing so many great artists at work under one roof was grand. I am counting down the days till the next one!

Mountford Hall was the setting for the 1st Liverpool Tattoo Convention. The spacious University setting housed the hustle and buslte of the event organized by Design4Life Tattoo Studio in Liverpool.
From the moment I entered the hall, I was greeted by staff with anticipation written all over their faces that this convention would be successful and one to remember.
I waltzed into the main foyer to the sound of buzzing tattoo machines, and I knew today was going to be good. You could feel in the air.
The list of artists was desirable to say the least. With top tattooers such as Bez, Aiden & The Magnum Opus gang gracing us with their presence to name but a few. We were in for a treat. A bright rainbow coloured treat of amazing tattoos. The whole place oozed great atmosphere.
The booths were nicely spaced out allowing plenty of room to take a peak at what was being etched onto peoples skin, as well as mingling with other enthusiasts. The trade store's bled with lots of tattoo & rockabilly things, the bands and sultry burlesque dancers added to the fushion of the weekend.
